What do you do when your mind is in a negative spiral?

When we feel deep emotions our minds can jump to an extreme and often negative thinking trap. We can then start to believe and act as if such thoughts were facts, which can make us more emotional. What is important to note is that all thoughts and emotions are real and authentic but it doesn’t mean that all thoughts and emotions are facts. This is called “real but not true”.

 

It's helpful in such situations to pause and check in with ourselves.
